Gaza and Auschwitz? Questionable MSU Event?

I've already graduated from UC Irvine Intifada.

However, many of my friends and readers still attend this campus. I feel it is imperative to give you advanced warning of an event to be hosted Week 5 (the week of February 4 and this Thursday). I hope that people can attend this event to figure out exactly what the purpose of it is.
Per the MSU's Week 5 Calendar:

THURSDAY

SPECIAL EVENT
From Auschwitz to Gaza: The Politics of Genocide

12pm at the Student Center Terrace
Speaker – Imam Muhammad al-Asi
**For more information please contact – Omar Kurdi at omarkurdi@gmail. com
I feel that the title of the event is pretty direct. Past events hosted by the MSU of a severely anti-Israel and anti-Jewish nature have carried similar titles.

Also, the speaker, Imam Al-Asi, has spoken at UCI before. At one lecture, he was filmed and quoted saying:
"You can take the Jew out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the Jew."
Considering that the Palestinian population has more that doubled in the last thirty years, it's fallacious to parallel issues in Gaza with the Nazi genocide. According to the Palestinian Bureau of Statistics, in 1967 1.1 million Palestinians lived in the West Bank and Gaza. In 2002 more than 3.5 million Palestinians lived in the West Bank and Gaza. That number has been increasing significantly.

Unfortunately, with increased terrorism and qassam attacks against Israel, the Palestinians have made it impossible to negotiate for a stable peace plan.

Concept Wizard created a fantastic PowerPoint a few years ago with fantastic sources which explain the Israel-Palestinian situation quite nicely.

I was on campus earlier this week to pick up my degree from the university. While visiting with friends I chanced upon an MSU billboard which clearly seeks to "educate" about the circumstances in Gaza. The billboard did not acknowledge that Egyptian patrol have been keeping Palestinians
out of Egypt and in some cases shooting at Palestinians. The billboard also misconstrued information and also appeared to make up information. While there have been restrictions in Gaza because of increased terror activities and qassam rockets, Israel has not cut off electricity to Gaza. Nor has Israel stopped to care for Palestinians who need healthcare.

Unfortunately the MSU does not seem to care about facts and honesty. Only a few hours before that same billboard was put up, there was a terror attack in Israel (in the city of Dimona). But of course the MSU will never condemn acts of terrorism against Jews or other Muslims.

Here are a two pictures of the billboard:
