Hamas violates ceasefire (again), UN doesn't care

Hamas fired 8 mortar shells into Israel on Tuesday. The shells apparently landed in the region of Eshkol in Israel. There are also reports that some shells landed in Gaza, possibly because of a malfunction. In many cases, Palestinians have killed their own children because of these "malfunctions" while they aim their weapons to terrorize and kill Israelis (including Israeli children).

Palestinian terrorists, who reportedly looted humanitarian aid trucks on Tuesday, also fired at the open crossings which undermines ceasefire efforts to keep certain crossings open. The Israeli Air Force destroyed the weapon launchers safely.
Well, this is some ceasefire....

Meanwhile the UN wants all crossings be open. They have, however, failed to condemn Palestinian terrorists for violating the ceasefire repeatedly since it was announced. Since the UN also failed to condemn Palestinian terrorists for destroying the lives of people of Sderot for nearly nine years, this does not come as a surprise.

Ynet News reports:
In one case, the Air Force spotted a mortar near a refugee camp and targeted it.

IDF officials are closely monitoring developments in the Strip and estimate that the shells were fired by Hamas and other terrorist groups that are attempting to "generate" several terror attacks daily.

Army sources told Ynet that terrorists resorted to mortar fire, rather than a more potent attack, as not to prompt a harsh IDF response, while still maintaining a certain level of terror activity. The IDF said that the mortar attacks constitute a violation of the Gaza ceasefire and that the army will convey an unequivocal message to Hamas that such attacks are unacceptable and would not be disregarded.

Defense officials said that Hamas was undermining humanitarian efforts in the Strip by firing mortar shells at goods crossings. The sources added that in some cases trucks carrying humanitarian aid were looted.

This doesn't come as a surprise at all. A terrorist group acting honorably? In our dreams.
