Reut R. Cohen
I haven't seen a single rally calling for the end of the occupation of Djibouti by Eritrea. Even the UN Security Council's response has been weak. Apparently they reserve their hatred and condemnation for Israel alone.
From the Jawa Report:In June, the Security Council condemned Eritrea for launching an attack against the tiny port nation of Djibouti, a key U.S. ally in the war on terrorism, which the U.S. said left 44 Djiboutian soldiers dead and many more missing. The council had called for a cease-fire and urged the two countries to withdraw their forces from the border. Djibouti did, but Eritrea did not.
The council's resolution Wednesday expressed "deep concern" that Eritrea has not withdrawn its forces and has refused to engage in dialogue with Djibouti or accept the offers of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the African Union and others to help resolve the dispute. The council demanded that Eritrea "comply immediately" with its order to pull back its troops and start talking to resolve the conflict. It gave Eritrea five weeks to take action.
Will we see any protests on behalf of Djibouti? Probably not. I also haven't seen Muslims take to the streets in condemnation of their Arab Muslim brothers who have committed genocide against the Africans in Darfur. When Lebanon indiscriminately bombed a Palestinian refugee camp in 2008, Muslims didn't take to the streets. Neither did American Muslims protest the actions of Egyptian soldiers who have shot at Palestinians attempting to cross from Gaza into Egypt.
But I did see a lot of despicable protests when Israel, a sovereign nation, went into Gaza in late December to stop terror attacks against the civilian population in southern Israel. I saw images of bloodied Palestinian children, who were used as human shields by Hamas. I also heard Muslims telling Jews that they should be "used as fossil fuel" and was told to go back to Poland. I am not from Poland and neither is my family (they are Jews who were made refugees from countries like Iraq and Syria due to Islamic aggression). Article 51 of the United Nations Charter reserves to every nation the right to engage in self-defense against armed attacks. Hamas' acts of terror left Israel with no choice but to take stronger measures to defend its citizens. Even though a ceasefire has been declared, Hamas has not shown any signs to stopping rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

UN is filled with a bunch of crooked antisemitic scumbags.
Love your blog. Thank you for doing this most important and necessary work. Reading your bio, I was impressed you lasted at UCI, given it's aggressive and vitriolic Muslim Students Association. I am in Orange County and if there is ever anything I can do for our side, count me in.
thank you so much for what you re doing! I m myself going to a very pro palestinian school in London where anti-israel propaganda is oftern flirting with anti-semitism and I really appreciate your fight!
keep it up :)
I never saw that little invasion on the main stream media I heard it first from you.
Moslems can practice genocide and basically get off scott free but if Israel defends herself after eight years of attacks then the UN and half the world gets upset. Seems they hate when Jews fight back.
I thought anti-Semitism was pretty much over after WWII, it sure has come back with a frenzy in the past ten years or so.
I'd like to see the UN out of the U.S. and the U.S. out of the UN and if that were ever to happened I'm sure Israel would follow our lead.
Zionism is a Badge of Honor!
Great point Reut. And it's no surprise, though it's always good to point about the outrageous hypocrisy of the UN. There is no news in the mainstream media on the Djibouti invasion.
For a good read on the UN, I recommend Jed Babbin's book, "Inside the Asylum". Short and punchy. Many good examples, some of which are Israel related, many not.
Kudos to Patricio's comments about the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US. Just defund that corrupt, malignant, pathetic excuse for an organization and be done with it.
Thanks to the foresight of a few "stubborn" Republican senators, the US was right to say "no thanks" to the League of Nations. If only we took the same approach to the UN.
